Dr. Stewart is a biology graduate of the University of North Texas and he received his medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine, Dominica West Indies. His post-graduate training includes a residency at The Brooklyn Hospital Center, Brooklyn, New York.

Prior to joining Memorial, Dr. Stewart worked at the Woodhull Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York home of the New York University School of Medicine. There his responsibilities included seeing 25-30 low and high-risk obstetrical clinic patients, along with complicated and non-complicated gynecologic patients per clinic day. He also taught and trained New York University OB/GYN residents in gynecological surgeries, supervised third and fourth and year medical students, gave lectures and served as the Director of Departmental Data and Statistics.

Dr. Stewart is a Fellow of American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He is also a member of American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists, American Association of Colposcopic and Cervical Pathology, American Medical Association and American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He holds certifications in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Protocol (NRP).
